Our approach

Evidence-based care. Real progress.

Maybe you've tried everything. You stretched it. You rested it. You pushed through it. But the same pain keeps circling back. The problem usually isn't effort. It's not knowing exactly what's driving it. This is how we can help.

The 4-step process

  1. Step 1

    Assessment & Diagnosis

A thorough assessment to pinpoint what's driving your pain, not just where it hurts, but why.

    • Detailed history & physical exam
    • Functional movement screening
    • Identify the underlying cause
  2. Step 2

    Personalised Timeline

A realistic recovery timeline, so you know what to expect and when.

    • Transparent goal setting
    • Evidence-based strategies
    • Tissue healing timeframes
  3. Step 3

    Treatment Plan

A structured plan built around your goals: daily life, sport, or post-surgery.

    • Strength & conditioning
    • Load management
    • Progress monitoring
  4. Step 4

    Specialised Treatment

Hands-on treatment and guided rehab, so the problem doesn't come back.

    • Long-term wellness strategies
    • Performance enhancement
    • Injury prevention advice

Questions patients ask before booking

Do I need a doctor's referral?

No. You can book directly with us, and many patients do. A referral isn't required to start physiotherapy. If your medical aid asks for one to reimburse your claim, we'll let you know how to sort it out.

Do you do home visits?

Yes, home visits are available on request. An additional charge applies depending on the distance and travel required. Please give the practice a call to discuss your specific area and arrange a suitable time.

Do you bill my medical aid directly?

Yes. We bill most medical aids directly, so in most cases you won't pay upfront and claim back yourself. We'll confirm the details with your scheme before your first visit.

Which medical aids do you support?

We work with all South African medical aids. See our medical aid page for the full breakdown of how billing works, or get in touch and we'll run a benefits check before your first appointment.

What if I don't have medical aid?

You're welcome to see us as a private patient. We charge a fair private rate, get in touch for a quote so you know what to expect before you book, with no surprises.

How much does a session cost?

For medical aid patients, we bill your scheme directly at standard physiotherapy rates. For private (cash) patients, please get in touch for a quote. We're upfront about costs before you book.

Can I pay in cash or by card?

Yes. Both cash and card payments are accepted at the practice. Let us know what suits you best.

How long is my first appointment?

Your first appointment is a full hour. That gives us time for a proper assessment, a clear explanation of what's going on, and the start of your treatment, not a rushed ten minutes.

What should I bring and wear?

Bring your ID, your medical aid card, and any scans or reports you already have. Wear comfortable clothing you can move in, something that lets us access the area we'll be assessing.

How many sessions will I need?

That depends on your condition, how long it's been going on, and your goals. At your first appointment we'll give you an honest estimate based on what we find and the recovery timeline we expect.

Will treatment hurt?

Physiotherapy shouldn't be painful. Some techniques may feel firm or uncomfortable, and some conditions can be tender to work on, but we always communicate as we go, and treatment is adjusted to what you can tolerate.

How soon after an injury or surgery should I start physiotherapy?

For most injuries, starting physiotherapy sooner rather than later leads to a better recovery. After surgery, the timing depends on your surgeon's protocol. Get in touch and we'll advise based on your specific situation.

Can I still exercise between sessions?

In most cases yes, and often we'll encourage it. Your home programme is designed to progress you between visits. We'll give you clear guidance on what to do, what to avoid, and how much load is right for where you are in recovery.
